Written in 2018, Fiat Lux was the first choral piece written after Lloyd’s monumental Christus. The piece belongs to a series of choral pieces revolving around events that happened in Christ’s life titled Khrīstós. Fiat Lux juxtaposes the Genesis text, Let there be light with the events that happened at the mount of transfiguration. Lloyd describes this piece as a painting.
