S. Andrew Lloyd’s great grandmother, Laura Lorentzen was born in Stokke Norway. Her father died at sea 13 days before she was born. Prélude 7 seeks to paint an image of her life, and struggle leaving wealth in Norway to raise her family as an immigrant farmer in Idaho. She was full of life, courage, and beauty. The Bells of Stokke ultimately represents an intimate call and longing for home, but resolve for here and now.
